3 lucky New York Lottery players win $1 million each after Wednesday Powerball drawing
Several Powerball players in New York and Connecticut are waking up as millionaires after matching five numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.
Two Powerball tickets worth $200,000 and one worth $50,000 were purchased in New Jersey for Monday night’s lottery drawing. The $200,000 tickets were both sold in Parsippany, Morris County. One was purchased at a Wawa on New Road and the other at the Shell gas station on Route 46 east, lottery officials said.
You can check the Massachusetts Lottery website, or the Powerball website for the drawing results. Powerball tickets are $2 each and can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. on the day of a drawing. The Powerball website states that, "the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million."
