NBA Makes Major Announcement For Next Celtics-Pistons Game
The Boston Celtics had their biggest win of the season on Wednesday, upsetting the Detroit Pistons, 117-104. The result ended Detroit’s franchise record-tying 13-game winning streak. It was announced on Saturday that the teams’ next matchup will be part of a nationally televised doubleheader.
Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Toronto Raptors, but something felt off. The game was down to the wire, and though the Lakers managed to close out the game, the cushion they built during November can disappear quickly.
The tension was high during the game, which was a rematch of last season's conference semifinals. Bridges, who had a team-high 35 points, taunted the Celtics' bench several times. Boston coach Joe Mazzulla, however, said he simply brushed off Bridges' chirping.
“Brook Lopez would be a tremendous help to this group with his interior defense and shooting prowess. He would replace a lot of the same skill Porzingis and Horford brought to this roster, and make the Celtics a much more viable team in a postseason setting.”
Forward Jaylen Brown scored 30 points, including three for four shooting from beyond the three-point line, to help the Boston Celtics avert a wild comeback attempt from the Toronto Raptors in a 121-113 win on Sunday.
Jaylen Brown scored a season-high 42 points, sealing the game with a breakaway dunk in the final seconds Tuesday night as the Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 123-117 in a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference semifinal.
Playing without Jaylen Brown for the first time this season, Derrick White, Jordan Walsh and the Celtics crushed the last-place Wizards 146-101. Next up: Friday night against the Lakers.
