Amen Thompson's three-point play with 17.2 seconds left helped the Houston Rockets to a 115-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets secured a 115-113 win over James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers at Toyota Center on Thursday night.

Alperen Sengun led the Rockets in scoring at the half with 13 points, while Smith Jr. added nine. Durant had an uncharacteristically quiet half, scoring just three points on 1-of-7 shooting. Zubac and Leonard both had double digits, scoring 14 and 12 respectively. Harden had nine at the break.

The Rockets are 8-5 against Western Conference opponents. Houston is second in the league giving up just 110.3 points per game while holding opponents to 45.6% shooting. The Clippers are 4-11 in conference play. Los Angeles is last in the Western Conference scoring 12.5 fast break points per game.

The Rockets had to hang in until the final posession in order to defeat the Clippers 115-113 in an exciting Thursday night matchup.
